Project Rozgaar
Where Women Build Livelihoods, and Communities Build Sustainability
Project Rozgaar is a flagship initiative under The Rehmat Foundation that combines sustainability with skill-based empowerment to create dignified livelihood opportunities. At its core, the project aims to give women the tools and training to build their own microenterprises, fostering long-term economic independence. The first drive focused on upcycling old garments into warm, durable blankets, which were then distributed to the underserved during Delhi’s harsh winter months—addressing both waste reduction and humanitarian need in alignment with SDGs 12 and 13.
The second drive promoted environmental consciousness by producing and distributing cloth bags to local vegetable vendors, helping reduce single-use plastic in everyday transactions and supporting SDGs 11 and 12. Most recently, NariBlend, the third drive, trains underprivileged women to produce eco-packaged, FSSAI-approved spices that support women’s reproductive health. Together, these drives reflect a circular, community-centered approach to problem-solving—where economic empowerment, environmental responsibility, and social equity go hand in hand.
